"Math Fact 2" is a game for kids intended to build addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. The game allows a player to choose operations (+, -, x, and ÷) and number facts (0 and higher). Each correct answer rewards the player with gems. Operations are arranged into levels of difficulty. The more difficult the level the higher the gem rewards. Players earn gems that they can redeem for different rewards. As players improve their time and accuracy, the rewards get better as well. The game keeps track of your best times and challenges you to try and do better. Better times result in better rewards! Player times can be viewed for any operation and fact. Watch as the times improve.

Math Fact 2 motivates players to try new skills as well as to improve their memory and speed. Opening new reward levels keeps players engaged as their skills naturally increase.

Settings are also available to enhance the game play. Setting examples include sound options, image options, minimum and maximum fact values, and number of questions per game.

Why did we build "Math Fact 2"?
• To create a game that is appropriate for children from kindergarten to 12th grade and that is playable without much parent supervision. While the game is made for kids, the time challenge and rewards make the game fun for all ages.
• To create a game which tracks times for each fact and operation over time. Combining non-monetary rewards with improvement of speed and accuracy provides both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to demonstrate to kids their improvement, while providing a small incentive. There is no in-application purchase associated with these rewards.
• To create a game that encourages getting the answer correct over answering quickly. Gems are rewarded for getting the answer correct for the first time. Additional gems are given for continuing to get correct answers with more gems being given for answering correctly with a faster time.
• To create a game that is understandable by most school age children, limiting text and difficult words. The games interface is intended to be intuitive to the player and minimize written instructions.
• To create a game that can be played on a mobile device. We created a game that could be played without internet or cellular service.

Game access: This game is being offered for free and does not require wireless internet access. The game is ideal for practicing math anywhere.
